Dark Void “Release The Kraken”

Do you know many bands from Cyprus? I know couple bands, and now I have a chance to know another one – Dark Void, with the pretty interesting demo title – “Release The Kraken”, sounds interesting, isn’t it?:) If I understand correct, they guys behind this band are around 17 years old, do you believe in this??!! Well, maybe they are young, but they are fucking able to kick ass! Dark Void plays thrash metal. Musicians calls it like “modern thrash metal”, but I’m interested what do they means with word modern? The whole demo sounds enough classical (but with maybe couple of not classical touches here and there, but this is thrash metal still). Music made with both slow and fast tunes, with proper thresholds and tempo-changes, with some really angry guitar rhythms and masive songs structure. Angry vocals, well crossed with raging guitars and high underlined bass lines (yeah, bass lines are too visible here, and sounds not like one of musical layers, but like the guitar etc), and with good vortex guitar solos in additional. When you’ll listen to this stuff, you must have such feelings – from the very start you can think there wil be some boring and not enough catching, but you’ll change your thoughts with every further minute. The only minus is a raw sound, but as for the first record it sounds OK, so you will be able to judge about Dark Void correct. So, if you still looking for some new bands into thrash metal way – put your eyes on this band, you will like it and will wait for their first album, which will be recorded ASAP I hope!
