Inkvisitor is a thrash metal band formed in Jyväskylä, Finland.
When your band was created?
What the genre do you play?
How could you describe your music by several words?
Dark, with a hint of occult. Production values mean a lot to us.
What is the main theme of your lyrics?
The forthcoming album is a concept album. The story revolves around a neo-noir murder mystery laced with necromancy. There’s still writers own opinions and philosophical undertones present in the lyrics.
What would you like to achieve with the band activity?
To be able to support ourselves. Tour the world, make records and to improve both as musicians and human beings.
How many gigs you have played so far and maybe you visit another countries with concerts?
60+. Mostly in Finland, but we have visited our neighbor Eesti. We are planning to tour the Europe this year though.
Is there anything very important about your band what SHOULD know fans and labels?
We tend to do things good. We don’t like half-assed. Also, the motivation in band to make it is really high. People are ready to make sacrifices and dedicate to this band.
What the formats you would like to see your releases, CD, Vinyl, Tape…? And how do you see future of physical releases?
We have previously released all our works on CD, but a vinyl print would be awesome. The future of physical releases seems dim, which saddens us since the physical product support the CD. For example, out new album has a 12 page booklet with related art on every page.
When you will get label deal, would you like to help to the label with promotion from your side, or you want label do all without your help?
There’s a lot of valuable expertise inside the band that can help the label a great deal. For example all our music videos are DIY, our album layouts are DIY and the guitarist Jesse is a very skilled digital marketing professional and event producer.
What’s your reaction towards negative opinions about your music?
In this age people have very distinguished tastes in music. It’s almost hilarious how zealous and obscure people can get. That being said, to each to his own. You just have to accept that people have different preferences.
And last question, how do you like our webzine, do you have some remarks towards its look or functionality?
Looking good! Always appreciated to support unsigned bands.
