Please introduce yourself. When your band was created?
Inkvisitor is a thrash metal band from Jyväskylä, Finland, formed in 2012. We have released our first EP Delirious Tales in April 2014 and in January 2015 entered the studio to record our debut album Doctrine of Damnation which was released 17.8.2015.
What the style do you play? How could you describe your music by several words?
Thrash metal fusioned with occasional twists of death metal. Rich in guitar harmonies.
What is the main theme of your lyrics?
Politics, society, war, greek mythology, human psyche, horror and scifi.
What would you like to achieve with the band activity?
Total and complete world domination. No, seriously, the most awesome thing would be a steady career recording and touring.
How many gigs you have played so far and maybe you visit another countries with concerts?
34, and Finnish tour with 9 dates coming up right around the corner. No appearances outside of Finland… Yet.
Is there anything very important about your band what SHOULD know fans and labels?
We work hard for our band and are constantly striving to evolve and better our musical approach.
What the formats you would like to see your releases, CD, Vinyl, Tape…? And how do you see future of physical releases?
There’s already CD’s for sale, but We’d love to see Vinyl pressings. With a gatefold and color discs.
When you will get label deal, would you like to help to the label with promotion from your side, or you want label do all without your help?
We definitely want to participate and plan together with the label. Our guitarist Jesse is very capable of handling the business side of the band and visual stuff, so the results would be rather good with decent budget and collaboration.
What’s your reaction towards negative opinions about your music?
Well, it depends. Pure hate is easily ignored, as is the comments from the people who don’t listen to metal or thrash. But if you have justified criticism, we will at least read it and think about it for a while. If the advice is good, we implement it.
And last question, how do you like our webzine, do you have some remarks towards its look or functionality?
Looks good! Thumbs up big time for supporting unsigned bands. Cheers!
