After 22 years we are at crime scene again. The main susspect: Mayhem. Crime: one of the most influental black metal albums of all times.
Back in October 2016…
It was announced Nowegian legends will play De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas in full on upcoming tour. First, North America in January than band is moving to Europe.
Since I have never seen Mayhem live, I was thrilled when I saw they will visit my hometown. And the fact they will play De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas is whole another story. I haven’t heard it for an ages, since I have this album on audio cassette, and my tape recorder is broken. Of course, you can find everything on You Tube, but that’s not it. For all of us who lived in Dark Ages and used formats unknown to younger generations, the fact band released De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas Alive is great preparation for upcoming shows. Live album was recorded in Norrköping, Sweden at the Black Christmass Festival December 18th, 2015. That was the first time Mayhem ever played De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas in full.
Writing a review of legendary album is absurdly, so I will leave you only basic information here:
