Sliptrick Records Welcome Italian Folkcore Group LOU QUINSE

Joining the ranks at Sliptrick Records this week:

Lou Quinse (IT) Folkcore | Metal Folk

Lou Quinse

“The fifteen” in langue d’Oc, “The Devil”, fifteenth major arcana of Tarot.

Conceived in 2006 in val d’Ala, in the mountains of Balme (Barmés) with the grouping of various underground musicians of Torino, Lou Quinse want to celebrate an heretical marriage between diabolic heavy metal and the cultural heritage of the western Alps. Traditional instruments such as hurdy-gurdy, flutes, accordion, percussion and bagpipes, find new life and energy crashing into a wall of waves and distorted vibrations generated by huge guitars, a deep bass and fast drums. At the same time, a pure metal voice screams and growls words that have been sung in taverns, forests and cobble stoned streets for centuries.

From the beginning, Lou Quinse have been a really motivated band, performing intense shows, searching for high grade atmospheres on all stages in Italy and Europe whether good or (indeed in some cases) bad. The new album from Lou Quinse is titled Lo Sabbat. Recorded in 2017, it contains 12 blistering tracks and is due for release worldwide via Sliptrick Records.

“The metal with which they contaminate the Occitan music is decisively extreme, but not for this less convincing. Lou Quinse’s show was a genuine explosion of energy and enthusiasm, in both extreme metal and Occitan style. Horns Up!” – Metallus blog

Lou Quinse are:
IX. L’Ermite – Vocals | XIX. Lo Solelh – Guitar | . Lo Mat – Drums | XVII. La Luna – Bass | I. Lo Bagat – Diatonic Accordion | VII. Lo Carreton – Flutes/Pipes
