Argh! Finally I got third album of this Norwegian beast, called Infant Death! When it comes to Norwegian thrash metal, then I’m into bands like Deathhammer, Nekromantheon etc, and Infant Death is one of those top bands out of there.

So, once I got this album from editorial, I was so fucking glad! Ten tracks of pure thrashing madness, unbelievable catching and made with old-school passion! To the fact, if we will see deeply, then we will find there not only thrash metal, but speed metal also, and some tunes of black metal.

You can call it old-school thrash/speed metal or other way, but the truth is that Infant Death is just kick ass band. Each song made with high speed rhythms and sick vocals. The tempo changes are impressive as well, killing by such threshold of death, argh, really awesome! Even when there are sounds guitar solos, the rhythm section doesn’t become slower, but comes with the same high speed!

Thus if you want to hear something sounding like a mixture between early Bathory, Sodom and Slayer (all mixed) – then Violent Rites will make your life happier!

Total recommendations!

Cheers from France / Rob

All that stuff about heavy metal and hard rock, I don't subscribe to any of that. It's all just music. I mean, the heavy metal from the Seventies sounds nothing like the stuff from the Eighties, and that sounds nothing like the stuff from the Nineties. Who's to say what is and isn't a certain type of music?
