DEATH RATTLE has been making some noise and drawing attention with the release of their first two singles. Keeping the momentum from their recent US tour and current Liquid Metal radio support the New England Metal band return with their 3rd song and music video – “Nietzsche, and the Fall” featuring vocal contributions from Bjorn “Speed” Strid of SOILWORK/THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA fame. “Nietzsche…” shows another facet of DEATH RATTLE’s sound with a darker vibe that doesn’t lose sight of the hook. Check out digital streaming/download platforms now or watch the video HERE

“This song was our first venture into experimenting with melodic vocals.  The open choruses and driving verses took us in some new directions and it was a lot of fun creating the harmonies in the studio.  What came out was a wall of sound that we felt was unique and memorable.  After the initial recording process we thought that it needed just a touch more of something that we couldn’t put our finger on.  That’s when we reached out to Soilwork frontman Bjorn “Speed” Strid and asked him to add his own style to what we had already laid down.  What he produced was nothing short of magical and it created the epic crescendo that we were looking for in the choruses.  It was truly an amazing experience and he slayed his parts.  This is one of our favorite songs to play off the upcoming album and we can’t wait for all the fans to hear it.”

The new song comes on the eve of DEATH RATTLE’s third trip to the land of the rising sun with a couple shows in Tokyo supporting LEFT TO DIE (featuring classic DEATH members Rick Rozz and Terry Butler paying homage to their days in the band), as well as THE CONVALESCENCE and Japan’s DEFILED.

Immediately followed by DEATH RATTLE’s first European tour opening for GORGOROTH and AETURNUS.
“Nietzsche, and the Fall” along with “Malthusian Dependency” https://youtu.be/jmW2Tz7QITs?si=XLvgikDrd_biVDGA and “Immersed in Black” https://youtu.be/VCzu7ULuaGQ all come from the anxiously awaited forthcoming M-Theory Audio debut from DEATH RATTLE entitled ‘The Moral Chokehold,” which will be released May 30th on 300 limited “Philosopher’s Moon” colored vinyl, CD and Digital. Pre-Orders are now available at http://lnk.to/deathrattle

‘The Morale Chokehold’ has a powerful, large sound courtesy of the production work of Kevin Billingslea (Lamb of God, Trivium) and mastering by Jens Bogren (Amon Amarth, Kreator) and features some stunning artwork from Tamer Azab of The Dark Art in Dubai.

“We are beyond stoked to release ‘The Moral Chokehold’ on May 30th.  For us, this album has been almost four years in the making.  We had a blast writing and recording it, but for the last year we have been in the trenches making content and releasing things to hype up the release.  It is the grind of the music business.  It feels so good to finally get back to what we are passionate about — the music.  Releasing these songs to the world and touring to support them is what this whole venture is all about.  Creatively, this was a giant step forward for us.  We experimented with writing more in the studio environment and playing with different melody structures.  It has brought out a new energy in our live show.  When a group of songs inspires the band to begin writing the next album before the music is even released, you know you have made something special.  That is how we feel about ‘…Chokehold”.’  We cannot wait for you all to hear this thing all the way through.”

Hailing from the New England area, a spot which has a long history of producing some of the most influential metal acts in modern metal, DEATH RATTLE hope to follow in the footsteps of those that came before them. DEATH RATTLE have already released two albums independently, toured the US four times including a run supporting The Convalescence and went to Japan twice previously in support of such luminaries as Cattle Decapitation, Revocation, Ne Obliviscaris and Wolfheart. All this in addition to regional plays supporting Hatebreed, Soulfly, Unearth, Crowbar, Allegaeon, Philip H Anselmo and the Illegals, Let Us Prey plus appearing at local festival plays on Mayhem Fest, Summer Slaughter, New England Metal and Hardcore Fest and the Tattoo & Music Festival.

Being sidelined by the Covid-19 pandemic DEATH RATTLE are now back stronger than ever and armed with an impactful new album that is more aggressive and unique than ever to be released next spring.
