Hi! What inspired the bold title “Gods of Metal,” and how does it reflect who you are as a band?
Hello! Well, if you start your journey into the metal world with your first album called „LEGENDS“ where do you go from there to top it? The title is kept in some ambiguity on purpose for the fan to decide how to reflect it…

How does the “Year of the Dragon” tie into your album’s theme, and why did you choose it?
Since we wanted to have a major asian theme on the album the subtitle was added as a clear pointer to that. Obviously it also marks the year the album comes out. It might be a bit in your face but it also clarifies things.

With your diverse musical backgrounds, how do you blend everyone’s styles into the ALL FOR METAL sound?
I guess you can hear it. We make classical Heavy Metal – not Death Metal, not Musicals – the common ground is in the old school approach to the music we love.

Tetzel, how does your work with ASENBLUT influence your role in ALL FOR METAL?
I will always be Tetzel in the metal world – but of course the Asenblut Tetzel and the All For Metal Tetzel are different characters. Insofar the major influence is very real – by time constraints. I can only be at one show at a time and both bands have to manage around that.

How has touring with LORDI influenced your live shows?
Since it was a support tour we were not able to bring our full show to the stage.

How do you handle songwriting and recording with members in different locations?
We meet in the studio for recording sessions. The songs are written mostly by our producer team and distributed via filesharing – so it’s not a problem at all.

How do you create the visual themes for your music, and why are they important?
We want to take the listener with us into our world. The act on stage is part of the experience and is an outlet and escapism for our fans and us. ALL FOR METAL is more than just music to listen to, it’s a whole experience that takes you along for the journey.

What do you think has driven your rapid success, and how will you keep it going?
Commitment. All forces on stage and behind had to commit to bringing this band as something new, exciting and big – not just as another group of musicians but as a production that aims for the stars and really pours in sweat and hearts blood. We will keep going by playing our asses of, bringing the best possible show every single time and touring a lot!

Were there any key moments during the making of “Gods of Metal” that shaped the album?
The first song for the album was written while we were still recording „Legends“ and it had this slight Asian vibe that made us feel like we should explore this direction a little bit more. Shortly after that we had the hymn „Gods of Metal“ in our hands and it was just a clear mission statement from there.

Where do you see metal music going, and what role will ALL FOR METAL play in that future?
Metal is diversifying at an incredible speed. The days of gatekeeping are long gone and „crossover“ does not even mean anything anymore. Modern Metal is all over the place and not really underground music anymore. With acts like „Falling in Reverse“ rising to the top of the industry at blinding speed. I really like this development as it makes people explore the roots of the genre. A lot of people will eventually find the gems of Judas Priest, Black Sabbath and DIO and for those there will be ALL FOR METAL. New, modern but keeping the fire alive and well.

Do you experiment with genres outside of metal, and how does that influence your music?
For me (Tetzel) taking classical singing lessons is the basis of performing in All For Metal – so that’s kind of the influence here. Aside from that I rarely dabble in any other musical genres as metal has something for every taste.

Will ALL FOR METAL address social or political themes, or stick to traditional metal topics?
We are a band that creates its own fantasy world for the people to escape to. Making them feel adventurous and great and not bash them with real life problems even more.

Where do you see ALL FOR METAL in five years, and how do you hope to grow as a band? Thank you for your time!
Hopefully headlining shows all over the world and celebrating METAL with lots and lots of fans!
