Infesting Swarm “Desolation Road”
Art of Propaganda

Today is the day of official release date of “Desolation Road” from Infesting Swarm band, by Art Of Propaganda productions. I listen to this album for about 2 days already, and, such happens rare, but you know, sometimes you can listen to some album for many times and always dig there something “new”. I’m far not a fan of all these post-metal-black metal things, but of course sometimes there are appears some bands whose music is more than acceptable even if you do not really into their musical style. Same happens now with me, Infesting Swarm left enough good feelings in my memory, their music is so called post-black metal, but as for me this is just some kind of ligt tuned atmospheric black metal, with such good epic and fullly of negativeness tunes… Their music is really interesting, I like the whole idea, atmospheric and raging at the same time guitars, where you may meet such typical but interesting thing like slow downs, which came from those raging guitars down to some acoustic parts, which then come back into metallic attitude, and comes together with measured screams. The whole atmosphere is enough melancholic, luckily not so funny melancholic, but as it should be – with the dark melancholies and negativity. As for me, here has luckily met atmosphere and music, which comes as one whole thing, and can’t be imagined without each other. And to the end I would like to say that I can’t call their music as post-metal or something like that, I can only sure you’ll hear more than average atmospheric and melancholic black metal, yes, not with old-school way, but sounds more than good and memorable, with enough of really impressive and freezing tunes. Favorite track: “Horizon On Fire”.
