Black Witchery and Revenge should need no introduction – at least for fans of the type of satanic war metal. These two bands have been carrying the torch at first lit by Canadian masters, Blasphemy which they will forever owe a debt of gratitude to. The songs do bear the inheritance left by them but, both bands have long since graduated and released their own material. It is unusual that for a split ep one band does three tracks (Black Witchery) and Revenge does only one. The songs do have a different sound in terms that each band has different production values- just being technical here. Of these tracks, a must listen is Black Witchery’s “Curse of Malignancy” which makes me think of myself taking a shit on top of Jesus’s face; yes, it is that good.
