Finland’s progressive metal group Antipope is set to release their seventh studio album, “Doors of the Dead,” on October 25th, 2024 via Moribund Records. Known for their unique blend of progressive heavy metal with elements of black, gothic, and thrash metal, Antipope continues to push the boundaries of the genre.
“Doors of the Dead” features eight tracks that take listeners on a journey through shamanistic and psychedelic experiences, exploring higher dimensions of the cosmos. The album delves into ancient Greek myths and envisions desert planets in the far future of mankind, creating a rich tapestry of themes and stories.
Since their formation in 2004, Antipope has released six full-length albums, including the critically acclaimed “Apostle of Infinite Joy” (2020) and “Rex Mundi” (2022). Their latest effort, “Doors of the Dead,” is expected to captivate both long-time fans and new listeners alike.
