Atmospheric black/doom collective Splendidula announces the reissue of their acclaimed album Somnus on CD via Argonauta Records, following the initial sell-out of the format. This edition includes the addition of their new and highly praised track, Behind My Semblance. The reissue is available starting December 20, 2024. Order CD HERE.
Behind My Semblance was recorded by JDB at Kosmik Womb, mixed by Tim De Gieter at Much Luv Studio (known for his work with Amenra, Brutus, and Doodseskader), and mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side Music (whose credits include Sepultura, Mastodon, and Cannibal Corpse).
The track, also released as an exclusive 8” vinyl under Saturni Records, is not part of the band’s forthcoming full-length album, making it a unique addition to this reissue.

About the Song:
“In a world where everyone wears a mask, Behind My Semblance explores the dark reality of hiding our struggles behind a façade of normalcy. The haunting lyrics confront the suffocating pressure to pretend everything is fine, even when it’s not,” say vocalist Kristien and drummer Joachim.
The accompanying lyric video features visual elements by Mikhail Nilov, meticulously edited to mirror the track’s oppressive and raw atmosphere.
