Legends of the extreme gothic metal scene Cradle of Filth returns to Croatia after long 15 years! The unholy manifestation occurs in 27th of July in Zagreb, Tvornica.
Cradle of Filth are an English extreme metal band that formed in Suffolk in 1991. The band’s musical style evolved from black metal to a cleaner and more “produced” amalgam of gothic metal, symphonic black metal and other extreme metal styles. Their lyrical themes and imagery are heavily influenced by gothic literature, poetry, mythology and horror films.
While in their early days they started as a death metal act, after their first (and now cult album) The Principle of Evil Made Flesh, their sound shifted to a more theatrical black metal style while still being raw and aggressive. Their subsequent albums Dusk… and Her Embrace and Cruelty and the Beast expanded their sound adding a gothic element for which they are known today. For many fans those are their peaks in musical creativity and tracks from those albums are a mainstay on their setlist.
With 13 albums under their belt, they are well known as the second most popular metal band from UK after Iron Maiden. Their latest album Existence is Futile, like previous several albums, have garnered favorable reviews. In 23 years, Cradle of Filth are not showing any signs of slowing down and will surely bring the sonic gothic horror to the Croatian audience that is worth the wait.
