Recently, Croatian death metal band IN DAKHMA announced their highly anticipated debut full-length album, He Who Sows the Ground, which is set to be released on November 8th. Today, the band is excited to present the first single and music video for one of the tracks, ‘Lies Beneath the Golden Ruins,’ now available on the band’s official YouTube channel:
Band comments on the single:
This is the first song we created together during rehearsals, one that set the tone of the rest of the album with its mixture of death and doom metal fused with low guitar tunings. We chose this song for the single because it’s dark, aggressive, straight to the point, and leaves you wanting more.
Song represents all our influences, like Entombed, Bloodbath, Cannibal Corpse, Alkaloid, Gojira, Opeth, Morbid Angel and Hypocrisy.
The speech at the beginning pretty much sums up the theme, with additional metaphors for religious manipulation all around the world, the suffering of children and subsequently, no repercussions for the damage done, all under the disguise of serving the Lord.
