Poland? Death metal? Embrional? What does these words mean for you? For me personally – the new stuff from Polish death metal band Embrional, which activity known for me since their very start, so it’s real pleasure to listen to their new hellish effort. I remember first stuff I have heard from them was made in the way of Morbid Angel; and now I see their music have some changes, a bit faster music by parts, and more own, but they are into pure death metal still. Music on “The Devil Inside” really looks good together with album title, I’m dare to say that the devil is really inside their music, hehe. Old-school death metal, made with pure passion and dark atmosphere. Reach for tempo-changes, filled with vortex rhythms, proper thresholds… Raging and sometimes grinding guitars (as well as those crushing “broken” parts) have a good sound over here, and you can easily hear musician’s passion into old type metal. Drumming and vocals are on the top as well, vocals are devilish and deep, and drumming is massive and ferocious. Yes, old-school, molesting, raging yet massive death metal. You’ll hear there all slow, mid and fast rhythms, slowdowns and etc, as well as good guitar solos. So to say – “The Devil Inside” is the proper death metal album, made in old-school way and with great musicianship; all played clear and honest, with a huge dose of technical sounds. This album is something you’ll probably listen again and again, from the very start and up to the end of the playing time. Poland still continue show us its powerful metal side, so I was not even surprised when I have heard more than proper stuff. Total recommendations! Massive – raging – catching – sick – blasting – evil – metal – DEATH! Favorite song – “In Darkness”!
