The band stated: “This is without a doubt the most accessible release by IN THE WOODS… yet. Lyrically, existential and philosophical themes are at the fore ; Elements of psychedelia, alienation and loss interweave, leaving the listener in no doubt that IN THE WOODS… seek to advance their own understanding of the esoteric and transcendental, if were it not already obvious to the listener through the music.”
