Interview with Mithra, the guitar player of the Melodic Death metal band Watch Them Burn.

Tell me when did Watch Them Burn was formed?
Watch Them Burn was formed in 2011.
You have released this year the self-title EP, tell me about it.
We started the recording session in autumn 2014 and we finished the work in april 2015. This is our first EP and we are very proud of the results. We choose the “One black sock studio” in turin for the full recording session with our technician Carlo “Fajo” Ghirardi. The EP contains 5 tracks thats representing our path, since we were kids to our contemporary musical taste. It’s a sort of resume with a new proposal that is the direction we want to take.
Are you going to release a new album soon?
Not so soon. We’ve just started to work on new riffs and unfortunately our composing process requires long time. We are working on different ideas for our 1st videoclip of the song Soul-R that we will shoot during next months.
What are the band’s influences?
Our influences range from several genres but for what concern metal music we are inspired by those classic bands from swedish death metal scenario as for example At the gates, In flames, Dark tranquillity and more modern stuffs as metalcore and djent sonorities.
Any lyrical themes?
Yes! The lyrics in our songs are basically full of rage and desperation. We tried to put in them our bad feelings, sometimes reporting some personal dark moments and sometimes pointing the attention on ehat we hate in our contemporary society and in our colture as injusticed, corruption and some other disreputable behaviours.
