Please introduce yourself.

We are Paper Doll Decay, a female fronted death metal band from the Netherlands.

When your band was created?

We (Caspar and Janneke) started out back in 2008. It wasn’t until 2012 that the official line up was completed.

What the style do you play?

Death metal

How could you describe your music by several words?

Aggressive, loud, authentic

What is the main theme of your lyrics?

War, politics, humanity

What would you like to achieve with the band activity?

Our ultimate goal is to immerse everyone in our authentic and fierce assault of aggression, rage and despair. That and conquer all stages worldwide.

How many gigs you have played so far and maybe you visit another countries with concerts?

We started playing live in 2013 and have played close to twenty shows so far.

Is there anything very important about your band what SHOULD know fans and labels?

We are in the process of finalizing our debut EP which will come out as soon as possible. The release date is yet to be announced.

What the formats you would like to see your releases, CD, Vinyl, Tape…? And how do you see future of physical releases?

CD and Vinyl for the collectors. Future releases could involve USB sticks.

When you will get label deal, would you like to help to the label with promotion from your side, or you want label do all without your help?

Always willing to help of course.

What’s your reaction towards negative opinions about your music?

You can never satisfy everyone, just as long as you believe in yourself and your goals. Negativity comes and goes.

And last question, how do you like our webzine, do you have some remarks towards its look or functionality?

It looks nice but could use a little more black and red 😉

Paper Doll Decay converges sonic terror with visual delight by unleashing uncompromising brutal death metal fronted by one of the most charming female growlers around. Paper Doll Decay started out as a project and was originally formed in late 2008 by Janneke de Rooy and Caspar Koster. Together they wrote material for a three-song demo, which was recorded and produced by Caspar in the course of 2010. In order to become a full-fledged band and raid the stage, bass player Jarno Hol was recruited in late 2010 together with drummer Robin Boogaard, who left in 2012 and was replaced by Rob Koene a few months later. The band is working on their debut EP while introducing themselves live on venues across the land. Paper Doll Decay’s sole mission is immersing you in their authentic and fierce assault of aggression, rage and despair far beyond any mainstream or commercial approach.
