BLACK FUCKING CANCER “Black Fucking Cancer”

Once I heard (and still hear here and there) opinion that Americans can’t play Black Metal. Well, I never understood why some people had such opinion and I’ll never do it!!! Also I have no idea what connection between music plated by bands and climate would be – I heard opinion that in Scandinavia there’s many good Black Metal acts coz of nature and cold climate. But don’t worry!!! I’ll don’t mention names of bands from Singapore, Philippines, Mexico, southern states of USA and other rather warm places on this planet to show absurd of foregoing thesis!
Instead of that I’ll just describe debut album of BLACK FUCKING CANCER. Well, I’ll write few words about band, too. Band came on the world in 2009 from initiative of Nefarion (bass), J. (dr) and Thrull (voc., guit). But we can say that B.F.C. is in some way continuation of another band under the name SENTENCED TO BURN which was alive between 2001 and 2006 – it in its turn was formed as SIMPHONY, but hell knows when. All these bands were and in case of B.F.C. is from sunny California. To be precise from city where NHL’s team Sharks has its base. So this fact also says something about mentioned above “theory”.
As I mentioned above instrumentarium here is limited to minimum. But to music which guys play it’s enough!!! This is obscure, dirty and of course blasphemous Black Metal. Thrull bawls about perversion, misanthropy or plague. His vocal is rather growling than obligatory for many fans of Black Metal squawk. Actually it’s something between clean sing and growling, something what we could compare a little with legend from Oulu. A little coz this is more “modern” and growl. By the way, music even if is pure Black Metal in fast or even very fast tempos has signs of fascination of other subgenres of Metal! One of them can be way in which vocalist attack us with his voice.
So mostly we have riffs and in general music which remind me some Metal Gods from Finland. I mean Gods who recorded for example “Suomi Finland Perkele”. Well, songs are longer. But riffs are still consolidated, fast and even in some way broken. Exception here is song entitled “Acid Ocean” – it’s played in almost Doom tempos with riffs which can be even monotonous. But even here the beginning (first 4 – 5 minutes) anything go to show it’ll be so… Anyway, there’re more parts like that – in “SinnRitualVoid” or “Blood Stained Whore”, but they’re not so long as in first mentioned song. Besides, they’re more variable – even if they can also be annoying for some of you. Drums show the best (at least in most of parts) fascination of Finnish Gods from Oulu.
Get this album if you like music like that!!! I like and I’m happy that I have this full-length!!!
