This is a nice catchy and energetic melodic death metal album. OK, so maybe some of you might find this too poppy and too generic, but if you don’t mind that style, it’s pretty good.

This record has an energy that never disappears. The riffs are wild and fast, and really catchy, and they stay that way for the whole record. The choruses also show a lot of enthusiasm. These are songs you can easily sing along to, and have a lot of fun doing it.

Because it’s a really fun album, but still an angry one, with heavy guitars and drums, and fierce vocals. And the vocals really are one of the best things about this album. The vocalist also seems to have many different voices he uses throughout the album. Many times, he uses a snarly black metal shriek or a sort of raspy growl. He alternates that with clean and powerful singing, which really establishes the catchy energy of the choruses. But his voice has a lot of versatility, from the speak-singing parts of Deadringer to the haunting singing in Bleeding and the deeper and gruffer singing in World Unseen.

For highlights of the album, I’d recommend the power metal with growls style of World Unseen, the heavy and crunchy riffs of Deadringer or Conspire, the craziness and speed of Senses Overload, the haunting riff of Safe Haven and Walls Down, which constitutes a nice opening for the album with its heavy growls and catchy chorus.

Now, if I had to explain what I don’t like as much about this album, I’d say it feels a little too repetitive and generic. The songs tend to use very similar riffs and melodies. They also borrow a bit too much from bands like Killswitch Engage or Trivium, or from Dimmu Borgir for some of the vocals.

All of that makes this album definitely not great but still pretty enjoyable. There are many good moments, and while the songs are repetitive, they flow pretty easily and have enough energy not to be boring. It’s not the greatest thing ever, but it’s definitely a nice album to listen to.
