Wow, I still remember this band from Germany. BUT, I remember them with half of other members and with another kind of music. I remember when I got promo package from Thornesbreed, with their album “The Splendour of the Repellent” back in 2003 or 2004, and that was great experience, because I still remember this band very well. But, there are some dig changes in their music, first of all, there are three new members in the line-up, second – if 12 years ago they played blasphemous death metal, so now they plays black metal… Yeah, the style has been changed, but main thing – music is still killing, and still comes with some death metal touches, mainly by those massive and beating sound. Their blac kmetal is not something based on thrash metal, like a typical black metal, but their music is based on such walls of sounds, mainly black and death metal mixture, with the really deep and blasphemous atmosphere. Guitars are raw and just sick, comes with unholy vocals, fast drumming and vortex like rhythms. The whole album sounds on one breath, and really reach for awesome tunes, ala one time you’ll hear slow tunes, and later your ears will be bleed because of straight-forward fast rhythms. The entire album sounds pretty dark, massive yet catching. Really awesome stuff, total recommendations.
