In a new interview with Metal Wani’s editor-in-chief Owais ‘Vitek’ Nabi, guitar legend Zakk Wylde discusses his solo album, Book Of Shadows II, songwriting, inspiration behind the album, writing melodic, beautiful solos, why comparing both solo albums would be unfair and why the album is meant for a road trip.
Zakk also discusses the possibilty of a new Black Label Society album in early 2017 and the musical direction it will be possess. He also throws light on working with Ozzy Osbourne, whether we will ever see them on stage together or on a studio album, and offers his take on Axl Rose joining Guns N Roses, saying Rose is the best fit for the band.
Zakk Wylde recently released Book Of Shadows II via Entertainment One Music (eOne Music), his first solo release in 20 years. This release is the highly anticipated follow up to 1996’s Book Of Shadows LP, a classic album Wylde released between his work with Ozzy Osbourne that has since become a fan favourite.
eOne breaks into the Top 10 this week with Book of Shadows II. The album debuts at #2 on the Independent Chart, #3 on the Rock Chart and #6 on the Current Albums Chart, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
