Please introduce yourself.
We are VOLDT, a three-piece Metal band from Hamburg, Germany.
When your band was created?
Our band was created in late 2016.
What the style do you play?
A mixture of modern Heavy Metal, progressive Black Metal and somewhat Melodic Death Metal.
How could you describe your music by several words?
Raw, sinister, melodic, diverse.
What is the main theme of your lyrics?
Nihilistic philosophy
What would you like to achieve with the band activity?
Power. Lots of it.
How many gigs you have played so far and maybe you visit another countries with concerts?
We have played three gigs so far and are willing to play on stages all around the globe.
Is there anything very important about your band what SHOULD know fans and labels?
Not really.
What the formats you would like to see your releases, CD, Vinyl, Tape…? And how do you see future of physical releases?
We’re fine with CDs and Vinyl. Tape is not part of our plans, as it wouldn’t help our kind of music to be conveyed in a better way.
Regarding the second question: I think in the metal scene it is not that big of a problem as it might be in most other genres, but it does not seem to get better.
When you will get label deal, would you like to help to the label with promotion from your side, or you want label do all without your help?
We would appreciate a label to help us out with promotion but on the other hand we want to decide what kind of image of us is brought to the outside.
What’s your reaction towards negative opinions about your music?
Well, we don’t think that a reaction is necessary. Whoever likes what we do should enjoy it and whoever does not can stay away from it. We’re fine with that.
And last question, how do you like our webzine, do you have some remarks towards its look or functionality?
I honestly have to say that I had never heard of your magazine before today, when I watched out for suitable magazines to recommend our demo to. But your support of small and upcoming bands makes it quite sympathetic. And I like the sober layout – makes it seem more reliable.
