Press about Azken Auzi’s self-titled album:
“It’s a soul-stirring experience, even as the cold-hearted beast in the music continues to put your head and torso into reflexive movement.” – No Clean Singing

“The result is a heavy and powerful album. You could actually call it an audio drama in 6 acts.” – HardRock Info

“Deciding they wanted a change of pace, they veered from death metal and noise toward atmospheric doom, frequently touching on funeral doom landscapes. Their new album is a deary delight.” – Flying Fiddlesticks

“For now, the work shown by AZKEN AUZI deserves applause, and “Azken Auzi” seems to point to a band that can become a driving force of the new generation of Doom/Sludge Metal acts.” – Metal Temple

“AZKEN AUZI’s self-titled debut album is a remarkable achievement in the sludge doom genre. With their ability to conjure a sense of foreboding darkness and their masterful command over dynamics, the band has crafted a truly immersive and captivating listening experience.” – Iron Backstage

“Throughout the album, Azken Auzi proves themselves to be masters of dynamics, skillfully transitioning between moments of heaviness and contemplative calm. The ebb and flow of the music mirror the tumultuous journey of human emotions, leaving listeners on the edge of their seats, hanging onto every note.” – Witching Buzz

It was in the Spring of 2021 that Ludo, Laurent &Fred decided to explore an even darker and more tormented side to their understanding of music, emerging out of the remnants of MANIAC (death metal) and TOM IS FAT (noisy rock), AZKEN AUZI combines doom/sludge but also more atmospheric passages.

Rapidly things took form, one composition and concert after another, until it was decided to record a first demo single “I Hate You” which received a very positive feedback.

It was only a matter of time before the band decided to record their first studio album, that now will be also re-released by late spring on LTD100 VINYL SERIES (an Argonauta Records imprint for ltd vinyl records)
