There are some bands that defy conventions. They don’t want to play safe. Yes, death metal is their chosen medium but how they express themselves through that art form is their call. Cerebric Turmoil, having members of Defeated Sanity in their ranks previously, as well as having releasing a split CD with them, have finally released their debut full length masterpiece. Reminiscent of acts like Wormed, Terminally Your Aborted Ghost, Necrophagist, Psyopus, Wicked Innocence and Cephalic Carnage, they are melting down the moulded template and forging their own. With the mixing done again by Jacob Schmidt of Defeated Sanity, mastering by Peter Neuber (Severe Torture, Prostitute Disfigurement, Cytotoxin, Lividity) and finally artwork duties by Phlegeton of Wormed, this is one surreal product engineered and created to perfection. Blistering technical death metal from Germany is what you will get here and it will force you to change your perception about extreme music and its mind-bending abilities.
