Denver doom bringers, IN THE COMPANY OF SERPENTS, will bring their chest-caving tidings to the stage this March on a short but pummeling run of live incursions. Set to commence on March 6th in Salt Lake City, the duo will trounce nine cities down the West Coast and into the Southwest with additional rituals in the plotting stages.
Comments the band, “We are looking forward to our first tour of the West Coast, and are stoked about the bands we are playing with along the way. Venues and supporting bands will be announced in the coming weeks as we tie up the final details, but rest assured that each show has a killer lineup of some of the best heavy bands running. Let the waves of fuzz roll over you, empty your mind, and worship at the throne of Ohms.”

IN THE COMPANY OF SERPENTS will be deafening ears with songs from their Merging In Light EP, unleashed at the close of 2014. Produced, mixed and mastered by Dave Otero (Cephalic Carnage, Catheter, Nightbringer, Primitive Man etc.) at Flatline Audio in Denver, Colorado, Merging In Light boasts over twenty rumbling minutes of bottom-heavy, riff-sodden, fuzzed out cheerlessness. Featuring artwork by renowned illustrator Sam Turner, (Sleep, Speedwolf et al) the EP was released independently on gorgeous limited 12″ colored vinyl and is currently available via the IN THE COMPANY OF SERPENTS BandCamp page here:
“…perfect and depressing in its sound… a thunderous and downtuned beast. It couldn’t have been released on a better day than the winter solstice, the darkest day of the year. How this duo can make such a thunderous, epic, filthy, sludgy sound is bewildering.” – The Sludgelord
“…one of the most exciting bands around in the doom genre. It’s a no frills affair with one eye on the old school and the other on a more contemporary affair and given time surely they must reap the dividends.” – Echoes And Dust
“…the most crushing doom I’ve experienced in some time. This EP needs to come with a warning: Head may implode.” – HeadbangorGTFO
“..an excellent addition to the collection of anyone interested in the slow, dense and sludgy.” – Invisible Oranges
“..if you’re into sludge, doom, or any derivative thereof, then these guys indeed deserve your attention.” – The Metal Station
“The music is tank-like in the roll of its mechanics, the guitar and bass chords so distorted and sludgy that it seems like an experiment in the most efficient means of sonic spinal compression, the drum strikes so powerful that they come down like a pile-driver on concrete. The effect is near-cataclysmic. But oh man, the groove is so dominant – these are neck-grabbing songs that will bend your head up and down to their will.” – No Clean Singing
“The three songs rumble along with menacing intent, chock full of monstrous, dark riffs and plodding drums… in the end a really enjoyable homage to Black Sabbath, Saint Vitus, Electric Wizard, and Sleep.” – Sea Of Tranquility
“…heavier than damn near anything you’ve ever heard…” – Hard Rock Revolution
