While the unrelenting cruelty of COWARDS’ second LP, Rise To Infamy, now just three weeks from its official physical release, the French quartet releases their official video for “Bend The Knee”, as the album is offered for FREE digital download. Directed by Jakub at Chariot Of Black Moth, the “Bend The Knee” video sees brief glimpses of the band’s unfuckwithable live set splintered into stark, nightmarish black and white storyline fragments, showcasing the creepily artistic and outwardly aggressive tendencies of the Parisian quintet.

COWARDS’ Rise To Infamy will be released February 9th worldwide on a variety of formats through a network of underground labels, including Throatruiner Records, RVINS Records and Deadlight Entertainment. This conglomeration realizes that humans will uncaringly pirate and consume this recording through illegal channels prior to its release, so the entire album is being offered at high-quality for free via Bandcamp at RIGHT HERE –
COWARDS guitarist Adrien L also recently discussed the band’s atrocious tones through a gear feature for PureGrainAudio discussing his custom 1983 Gibson setup…

The COWARDS sound dredges forth a deep, oppressive, urban harshness amidst their crushing wall of amplification which stabs blackened sludge metal savagery into the band’s Holy Terror/H8000 inspired-hardcore. The levels of aggression on Rise To Infamy are difficult to endure; everything the band has managed to capture here is meant to inflict maximum aural damage. Recorded by trusted engineer Francis Caste at Sainte Marthe Studio (Arkhon Infaustus, Eibon, Kickback), the band’s monstrous tones here sound more callous than ever. This is nothing but a monument of down-to-earth, unvarnished violence, punishing from start to finish.
