Greetings! We are Everto Signum from Portugal/Austria.
When your band was created?
Everto Signum was originated in the Portuguese city of Coimbra in January 2010.
What the style do you play?
We can describe our musical style as Elemental Black Metal, where the word “elemental” relates to “the elements of Nature.”
How could you describe your music by several words?
Our music is based on traditional Black Metal, incorporating melodic and ambient parts. Our first full-length album “Enneachotomy” is all about that. The new songs are evolving in a different way: we are adding progressive elements and Death Metal components to our music.
What is the main theme of your lyrics?
The lyrical concept of Everto Signum focuses on natural phenomena. We write about elements, landscapes and destructive forces of Nature.
What would you like to achieve with the band activity?
Our main goal is to express ourselves and create something unique.
How many gigs you have played so far and maybe you visit another countries with concerts?
We played live once, with Corpus Christii at D.R.A.C., Figueira da Foz, Portugal. It is complicated for us to play live since our vocalist Nekruss lives in Austria.
Is there anything very important about your band what SHOULD know fans and labels?
Currently, we are working on our second full-length album.
What the formats you would like to see your releases, CD, Vinyl, Tape…? And how do you see future of physical releases?
Our music was released on CD and tape, and we definitely prefer physical releases. But if there will be people interested in buying our songs in digital format, we will consider that as well.
We believe that physical releases will continue to be sold in the future due to their iconic nature. Listening to a physical copy is a process focused on music itself, on exploring it, on reading the lyrics from the printed booklet. Many people collect CD, cassette and vinyl releases, and many labels release music only in physical formats.
When you will get label deal, would you like to help to the label with promotion from your side, or you want label do all without your help?
We are already promoting our music on a weekly basis and we would like to actively help the label with promotion.
What’s your reaction towards negative opinions about your music?
Every person has its own musical taste and opinion and there should be people that don’t like what we do in Everto Signum. We can’t satisfy everyone so we rather focus on making the music we want to make and there will definitely be someone who likes it.
And last question, how do you like our webzine, do you have some remarks towards its look or functionality?
We like your website very much, it is clean and well-organized. We think this is a great initiative to help unsigned bands. Thank you!
