Interview with the Italian Thrash metal band, Violentor.
Hello guys, how are you feeling?
Cane: Hello, very good!
Rot: Very very good!
Iago: Very good, thx!
When did Violentor was founded?
Cane: Officialy in 2009, our first record is from 2009.
Rot: The band was founded by him (Cane), then I joined, were some changes also then finally came Iago.
The debut self-titled album was released in 2011 and the second one a year after under the name of “Rot”. How the recordings were going on both?
Cane: Well we recorded all togheter the albums, you know, sometimes to a studio is bit expensive so we did all our own.
This year you’ve released the third album entitled ‘’Maniac’’, tell me about it.
Cane: This is a part of our concept album about monsters of Florence, the murders…
Rot: When young women had sex and were going to be killed.
Cane: Not all the album is a concept but a part of the songs are about these stories because is the history from our country.
Who mainly use to write the music in the band, the lyrics?
Cane: I usually write the lyrics and maybe we get the ideas in the rehearsals room and we all proceed.
Rot: We do all like ‘’do you like it, hhmm maybe not let’s change it” and so on…
Cane: We put our personality in the songs.
Iago: Yeah, Cane writes all the lyrics.
What are the band’s influences?
Cane: Old school Thrash metal: Motorhead, Venom…I don’t know…
Rot: All raw metal
You told me about who writes the lyrics but tell me the themes of the lyrics.
Cane: About society, about our country, the problems in the Vatican, manipulation of the population, these bullshits haha!
Are there more shows confirmed for this or for the next year?
Iago: Next year in June we go on USA tour.
And the last question, do you have a message for the fans?
