Please introduce yourself.
We are NekKralai, 3 crazy assholes from Kaunas, Lithuania, who are trying to shake the underground scene and drown it in alcohol.
When was your band created?
The band was created in 2009, in a small town Seredzius, but due to more drinking, than practicing, line-up changes and inability to play, it was reborn and took a real band‘s form in 2013, when we relocated to Kaunas and found a new crazy drummer.
What the style do you play?
In short, we call it black punk.
How could you describe your music by several words?
Old school punk and rock & roll (rockabilly) inspired black metal. Kind of…
What is the main theme of your lyrics?
Alcoholism induced depression of living in a village.
What would you like to achieve with the band activity?
To create a cult of bottle worshiping metalheads, who headbang, mosh and dance twist to our music around the world.
How many gigs you have played so far and maybe you visit another countries with concerts?
Satan knows… 20?.. 30?.. We’ve lost count. Lately there were some memorable concerts where we played with Italians Kult, Latvians Urskumug and several concerts with an awesome Lithuanian black metal brigade Luctus. To the date our only foreign concerts were a biker feast in Sweden and a concert in Riga, Latvia (in which we played with Znich (BL), Ain(FR), Noctern Cursis (FR)).
Is there anything very important about your band what fans and labels SHOULD know?
Our songs are in Lithuanian. We have no problems speaking in English or providing a translation, but the ideas that we are trying to express can only be expressed by the intensity of our local expressions and gritty word plays.
What the formats you would like to see your releases, CD, Vinyl, Tape…? And how do you see future of physical releases?
The format is secondary to the content. Every format which would help our music to reach our fans and let them enjoy our music is good for us. Physical releases will live on. No matter how popular the digital form will become, it’s always more fun to have something real in your hands (heh).
When you will get label deal, would you like to help to the label with promotion from your side, or you want label do all without your help?
We like to get involved. If it’s our music that is in question we just can’t stay on the sidelines.
What’s your reaction towards negative opinions about your music?
If it is constructive criticism, from which we can learn, then we take notice of it and try to better ourselves. However, if it’s just some subjective asshole commenting with some steamy bullshit we just don’t give a crap.
And last question, how do you like our webzine, do you have some remarks towards its look or functionality?
It‘s great, lots of easily reachable information.

NekKralai is a band from Lithuania that plays a mixture of raw black metal and punk rock of sorts. The band consists of 3 people:
Simonas (Guitar)
Gytis (Bass/Vocals)
Simonas (Drums)
At the moment we are all living in Kaunas, Lithuania, but we all came from smaller towns. And the band itself began its life in Seredzius village, where Simonas (guitar) and Gytis lived at the time. In short – we want to play music that makes you feel like you just woke up with a hangover in a cold winter’s night, and just want to take the axe and put it through your neighbour’s head, because he owes you money and his dog won’t stop barking… Something like that.
