Finally!!!!! 27 April 2015 all the fans of Heavy metal will have a chance to get the new album from one of the gods of heavy metal – RAVEN! Long five years has been gone after their last effort (Walk Through Fire (p.s. which soon will be re-released through Dead Center prods as special re-issue with songs translation into Russian language, bonuses and poster)), and now we have got their fresh album. What I have exected from this record? Hm, I just expected some kick ass stuff, and luckily I have got what I expected for! From the very first song my ears starts “bleeding”, ‘coz from the very stat “ExtermiNation” comes with too heavy stuff, hehe! After about 10 times of listening to this album I have got an idea – does this review needed at all? And ALL the reviews which were/will be written! This album doesn’t worth any reviews, because this album is just a brilliant one! All you’ll hear out of there is classical, old-fashioned and awesome composed and recorded Heavy metal. The sound is pretty massive, guitars are just tearing ears apart, each tempo-change and chord comes with pure heavy metal approach, and luckily without modern parts on it. Except of heavy metal carcass there are pretty visible Thrash metal tunes, by such typical for thrash metal massacre guitars and twisted way of sounds execution, plus add same great guitar solos and massive drumming. Raven are the gods of heavy metal, and each their album sounds more than impressive, memrable and killing. Additional great thing is a classical approach, I mean when you listen to this album, you have such feelings like this is some album from the far ‘80s, which was lost and just released, what makes their music more than powerful. All in all, typical for Raven sound, contains Heavy, Thrash metal, and old good Hard Rock tunes (just like in the song “It’s Not What You Got” among others). You know, the band existing for 41 years already (yeah, they started play long time before many of you were born), and they are still alive and ready to kick your ass with their pure heavy metal stuff. I won’t to write anything more, ‘coz there are no proper words which could describe their music, because in aim to understand what I mean you MUST listen to it! So I’ll finish this review by just couple words: this is powerful, extremely catching, old-school, fast and dangerous Music! The gods are alive and their heavy thunders were addressed to YOU by “ExtermiNation”, do not miss!
