Vader “Iron Times”
August 12th, 2016
Nuclear Blast Records

Prelude to new, 12th studio album “The Empire” (September 23th, 2016; Nuclear Blast Records), EP “Iron Times” brings 4 tracks:

  1. “Parabellum”,
  2. “Prayer To The God Of War”,
  3. “Pięść I Stal”(Panzer X cover),
  4. “Overkill” (Motörhead cover).

“Parabellum” and “Prayer To The God Of War” gives us a direction of Vader upcoming album. Other part of this EP is dedicated to covers.

“Pięść I Stal” (Steel Fist) is cover of Panzer X, side project of Piotr Pawel Wiwczarek (guitar, vocal), simply known as Peter. While Vader is cult death metal band, Panzer X is more heavy metal project with only one EP behind “Steel Fist” (Metal Mind Productions, 2006).

Second cover originally belongs to Motörhead. “Overkill” is dedication to Lemmy, as Dave Grohl once said, The King of Rock ‘n’ Roll.

This review is one of the shortest ones I have ever written, but more concise review you can expect as soon as I get “The Empire”.
