Doro “Love’s Gone To Hell”
Nuclear Blast Records

Another legend of Heavy Metal here!!! This time it’s one of these few female legends. In this place I could only reply what I wrote about ANTHRAX. Maybe someone guesses that there’s some problem with my imagination or that I’m lazy one, but I really don’t care about it!!! For me there’s no fuckin’ sense to write two times the same thing. So the only thing which you can do now is to read first paragraph of review above.

When I looked at description of the music I was, to use equable word, astonished. I saw the same two words as in case of ANTHRAX. And here I have a question. If in opinion of Nuclear Blast CANNIBAL CORPSE also plays Heavy Metal?!? I know that this is very huge label, we can even say that it’s record conglomerate, but is there anybody who listens to things which they release?!? Or, as in this case, just know what which artist plays what kind of music?!?

Well, to be honest words “Heavy Metal” should be used in the case of DORO. But maybe even “Hard Rock” would be also good term here – at least sometimes. Anyway, I think that everyone has its opinion on this topic and disputes if this is more Heavy Metal, Hard Rock or maybe something else are totally inane. On “Love’s gone to hell” we have only six songs. Practically four ones coz “Loves gone to hell” is in three versions (radio, single and original demo). Except that we can hear two live songs + “It still hurts” where Lemmy participate. Nowadays it sounds like prophecy and memento mori in one.

This is good stuff and I can recommend it with clear conscience to all fans of Doro!!! The fact is that I can’t understand what can be reason to release album where’s a half of that is one and the same song (versions are a little different from each other, but it’s still one and the same song). But it’s probably coz of my attitude towards money and its correlation with music. It doesn’t mean of course that I don’t recommend this release. Contrary – everyone should listen to it and fans of DORO will be happy to have possibility to get this!
